Michael Pugh
Coach
Michael Pugh is one of Cullman United’s most experienced coaches
and a lifelong contributor to the game. A standout player at Cullman High School, Michael was part of the program’s most successful era, winning a State Championship in 2002
and earning Finals MVP honors. He also helped lead the team to a State Runner-Up finish in 2004
before competing collegiately at Union University.
Following his playing career, Michael transitioned into coaching, starting as an assistant coach for John Carroll High School’s Varsity Boys under the renowned David Dipiazza. He later returned to Cullman, where he served as Varsity Boys Head Coach for one season before focusing on youth development with Cullman United.
Michael has been a coach with the club for four years and is also a proud soccer parent with five children — Callie, Susan, Jude, Sam, and Lucy — actively playing in the program.
