Jacob Brown
Director of Coaching, Cullman United
Jacob Brown has dedicated his life to soccer, both as a player
and coach, and has been instrumental in shaping the landscape of youth soccer in North Alabama. His playing career began with Cullman Crew
before joining the Huntsville Kicks, where he spent six years competing at the Division I and RPL levels. Jacob also starred at Cullman High School, helping lead the team to two Final Four appearances
during one of the program’s most successful eras, before playing collegiately at Wallace State.
Jacob began coaching in 2011 with Mobile United while attending the University of Mobile, where he also assisted with the Spanish Fort Varsity Boys Team. Upon returning to Cullman, he founded Cullman Futbol Club in 2013, laying the foundation for what is now Cullman United Soccer Club, officially formed in 2018.
As Director of Coaching (DOC) since the club’s inception, Jacob oversees the entire competitive pathway and ensures a seamless development model from Rising Stars through college-level preparation. Under his leadership, Cullman United has produced multiple State League champions and State Cup winners.
Jacob has also served as a head varsity coach at various schools:
Cullman Girls Varsity Head Coach (2013–2019) — broke every school record and remains the program’s winningest coach.
West Point Boys Varsity Head Coach (2021–2024) — transformed a struggling program and broke every school record. Remains the program’s winningest coach.
In addition to his DOC role, Jacob co-founded Vero FC, now the largest club in North Alabama.
Jacob is married to Kelli Brown and has two daughters, Harper and Jeta, who both play within the club.
